The anti-rotating device that is installed keeps the bearing from spinning in the housing while allowing for self aligning at the same time. Using a seal with flinger that spins with the inner ring creates a labyrinth to keep contaminates out. Installing the set screws at 120 degrees balance the internal forces on the inner ring, which helps retain roundness of the inner ring. Annealed setscrew ports on a UCP212-36 bearing eliminates cracking of the inner-ring in this area and improves the thread grip.
